Purchasing preparation guides from your local book store These books often contain several full-length practice tests in addition to general test taking tips and focused instruction on question format and content.
Using SAT Prep books available in the library or Resource Room Copies of SAT Prep booklets are available for review at school in the library and in the Resource Room in the Counseling Center.
Using Online SAT Prep There are a number of online SAT and ACT preparation available on the internet. Web addresses may be found under the links button to the left. We recommend using free sites as they often provide the desired results as well as sites that require a paid subscription if used consistently over a period of time. Online resources can be accessed from home, in the library, or in the Resource Room in the Counseling Center.
SAT Prep Courses Stokes County Schools offers an SAT Prep Course during the regular school year. Students may register for this course during the registration period in the spring. Scheduling of the course will depend on enrollment. It is recommended that students have completed Geometry in order to gain the most benefit from the class.
At times throughout the school year we may also offer SAT Prep classes on Saturdays or at night. Please listen for information about these opportunities on morning and afternoon announcements or through automated phone messages.
